On Wednesday morning the 28th of June, Doris the yellow bus came to visit the residents of the Old Palace, in St Asaph.
Doris is Mind Dyffryn Clwyd’s mobile outreach vehicle, which goes around Conwy and Denbighshire visiting various events and rural locations, with the aim of reaching areas that other services could not reach.
Mind Dyffryn Clwyd is a leading mental health charity (affiliated with Mind National) which aims to provide sustainable services to support and care for people with mental health problems.
The purpose of Doris’s visit this morning was to show the residents what Doris and Mind Dyffryn Clwyd does, which is to provide information and support to people across Denbighshire and Conwy and explain about the support available.
From now on, Doris will visit Old Palace once a month to offer support to the tenants if they need it. In the bus there is also a small meeting room where people can discuss matters confidentially.
