St David’s Day Celebrations

Staff from Claytons, Adra and local councillor Kim Jones giving an afternoon tea box to tenant outside his house i Llanberis

It’s been a busy week with a number of activities organised around St David’s day.

Afternoon Tea Boxes

One activity was distributing afternoon tea boxes and daffodils to redidents at Maes Padarn.
It’s very important that our communities benefit from our work. W.F.Claytons paid for the boxes from local business Plas Coch as part os this work.
We’ve invested in our homes in Maes Padarn recently and W.F.Claytons were appointed as the main contractors to improve the quality and apperance of our
homes.
The work includes

  • putting a new roof on the houses
  • insulating and rendering external walls
  • installing new windows
  • installing new gutters
  • improving paths and fences and more.

Thanks to staff from W.F.Claytons, Staff from our Assets Team and local councillor Kim Jones for distributing these boxes around the community.

Welsh Taster Sessions

Many of our tenants at Llys Dewi Sant, Bangor were keen to learn Welsh.
So we worked with Menter Iaith Bangor to organise a Welsh Taster session and panad and cake this week.

School Language Tour

We’ve also recently toured North Wales secondary schools with Ameer Davies-Rana to promote the Welsh language as part of
the Welsh Government’s One million project and to promote the career opportunities within Adra.
